A little more on Unearthen...a must visit website.
"It is possible that most Unearthen pieces have already chosen their bearers. The uniting of the crystal and empty bullet creates a powerful opposition, causing old dreams and new beginnings to fall upon its bearer. For this reason, the stone with the right properties for your needs will inherently attract you. Each crystal carries distinct properties. Its aims may be to clear your mind, focus your heart on goals you struggle to achieve, provide comfort in difficult times, or simply remind you of the balance between destruction and creation. Please choose your Unearthen piece with care. Gia Bahm, creator of Unearthen, selects the crystals and bullets according to the histories, qualities, and sizes of the materials. She is a collector, an aestheticist, a creator, and a destructor… much like all of us who are constantly perplexed by the forces of nature and humankind. She lives and works in New York City, balancing her life between wardrobe styling and jewelry design, between summer nights in the woods and winter days on the streets. Have any of you read this ? I came so close to buying it today, but figured i need to save up my chickens for other things...(oh,Christmas) I am curious to see if it worth buying. The cover instantly caught my eye out of all the others. I went for a little stroll along St-Denis after work and bought pretty much everything i needed for my boyfriend's birthday, this weekend. He occasionally snoops by my blog, so i won't mention what it is until Monday. I also went shopping for myself a little. Bought two tops and boots (thanks mom :) Oh and i went to winners and i totally witnessed a robery ! Long story short...half of them got caught, the rest ran for their lives.
ps. this was post 100. i promise to make 101 special.
Everyday I see you With loving eyes I just wanna hold you And make you mine - Brandy
Tsumori Chisato dresses. A big blend of beautiful fabrics and embellishments. Silk jersey, chiffon, cotton, embroidery; the perfect ingredients to a wonderful garment.
5 things i am willing to do for these dresses. + Give up my blackberry & PC for a whole month (tops!) + Sell my favorite heels (Michael Kors) + Eat 5 meals off the ground (literally) + Take Bus // Metro to work everyday for a week (huge sacrifice, think winter/cold...) + Stop reading Twilight, altogether, forever.
ps. Babe this is some good hints. You know...christmas, love, gifts, mine, now. please...
The studs. The shoes. The tights. What's not to love ? I know the whole world probably saw these heels by now, but I've been literally dreaming about them ever since i saw them on the runway. Although i couldn't dance in these if my life depended on it, and they look a little high for work... The kind of shoe you wear once at a fancy diner (with your...taller friends), and put them back in the box for an undetermined period of time. On the other hand, the tights are easier to pull off. Looks like a spider crawled around the legs and knitted her web as she went.
Two pretty pictures found on Dripbook (read : source of distraction) This week has been going by so slowly, it's crazy. Maybe it's because there's so much happening this weekend. I can hear myself saying i-don't-know-what-to-wear-I'm-not-going already.
3 things i should stop doing: + choosing heels over shoes when i can't find socks + forgetting my lip balm everywhere + going to bed with wet hair, without putting it in a bun
Candy for your eyes. I love the vibrant colors, the volume, the lightness of the fabric, the hair and the tights. Long story short : everything.
Chisato Tsumori (ツモリチサト) is a Japanese fashion designer born in Saitama, Japan on November 12, 1954. "Chisato Tsumori" is also the name of her popular clothing brand. Chisato Tsumori is perhaps one of the most famous names in fashion, both in and outside of Japan. Her designs have been featured in English-language fashion publications such as Elle and Vogue and on popular fashion websites like Style.com. A once protégé of fashion giant Issey Miyake, Tsumori has propelled to the top of the Tokyo fashion world through hard work and talent. Her designs have created a cult following among the young fashionistas on the streets of Japan's cities. What sets her apart from other designers, besides her hard work and attention to detail, is that she has fun with her designs. A recent survey of fashion design school graduates in Japan showed that working with Tsumori was one of the most sought-after positions in the fashion industry. And with good reason: she's not only a hard worker who is good at what she does, but she likes to make it enjoyable as well. Her designs reflect this ability to enjoy the fun things in life: one of her trademarks is the use of bright colors like pink, light blue, and purple. this text was taken from virtualjapan.com
I love kitties. And today was filled with cat coincidences. 1) my boyfriend forgot to give my cat her pills 2) my boyfriend asked if we can "catsit" his sister's cat while she was away 3) my dad asked if i can bring his cat to the vet
I love this shoot of Anja Rubik by Patrick Demarchelier. It makes me wish it was summer again, but clearly, it's long gone. A thin coat of snow covers the ground, the malls are packed with people wearing way to much perfume, and the party invitations are never ending. Ahh the holidays ! All this to say, the shoot above reminds me a lot of Manish Arora, an indian designer that uses colors i didn't even know existed....which also reminds me of M.I.A...who is pregnant :)
Finally, I'm obsessed with this Miu Miu leather tote, and these Lauren Urstadt quilted fingerless gloves. I'm watching them very carefully on ebay. Maybe i can just rent it....or is that sort of sketchy ? Hm.
